The stag king enters the fray.

FACEBOOK (Jan. 27, 2015): NEW SURREAL ART. It was easier to step back into the art than expected. I must be getting better at this... because I actually left myself an easy entry point. Yeah! AND..., the stag king has apparently decided to enter the fray. Symbols are shifting slightly and reconfiguring.... Somewhere along the line (pun intended)..., the male figure at the bottom morphed from the possible thought of a Knight sort of figure.... into more of a Stag King kind of symbol. I found myself turning from researching knight's armor...to stag antlers Sunday. Ha. AND, the ones that initially beckoned...turned out NOT to be the ones actually accepted by the subconscious (as it reached deep down into the collective unconscious). Too funny. I REALLYliked the other antlers...but in the end, I have to agree that the thicker antlers were the right choice. Nonetheless, I found echoes of hands shadowing the tippy tops of the newly drawn stag kings antlers.... Man. This is going to be one CRAZY ass drawing baby. The third eye is STARTING to get the path in focus....., it's not quite clear yet... but what's new, eh? And, the pencil is readying for the next long journey.... NEXT

Breaking my mind's eye wide open.

FACEBOOK (Feb. 04, 2015): I AM NOT A CAMERA... but I do prefer drawing realistically... however..., I am refusing ...adamantly... to BE JUST A CAMERA. I "think" that personal forays through abstract pattern land, MANY different kinds of commercial art alleys, fine art spaces AND on into creating the moving graphics that ARE music videos ....are all coming to a head and breaking my mind's eye wide open. I am finding that EVERYTHING I have EVER seen... graphically is starting to come out in the drawings. I watch Gary constantly challenging himself artistically and REFUSING to sit on mental laurels... and find a challenge within myself headed far out and deep into collective unconscious dimensions... dragging me along, laughing the entire way. Too friggin' cool. Space in art is not delineated along space time continuum theory lines in the mind.... I am not a camera. I can go anywhere. NEXT

The NEED to find time to DRAW.

FACEBOOK (February 24, 2015): DRAWING. This weekend. OMG. I need to update my entire artist website with the new addition, the url (chris-eisenbraun.com), I have a new music video that MUST be produced... but not THIS weekend, more footage to be shot for said video, a CD website that needs to be updated by March 10, two websites that are and will be in mid-css style transition FOREVER (I think), I need to update the art blogs on my website (they are at least three drawings behind), I need to frame an abstract that was just completed this last weekend, etc. etc. etc. ... I know. Same Old BORING Story baby. LOL. I am NEVER bored. AND AND AND, I am DRAWING THIS WEEKEND. NEXT

The weekend is going to be a hard one.

FACEBOOK (Mar. 10, 2015): SO TIRED. I am so tired right now that my eyes are barely open. The other side of the coin? I am actually relaxed right now. Quite somnolent in fact. LOL. Is this how you do it? The relax thang??? Ha. Ok. The new video. Up. The CD release stuff? Halfway done but not in an obvious way. My website? Way out of date. The entry to the juried exhibition? On my desk. This weekend? Drawing. I didn't leave myself an easy entry point and I am wracked with guilt at not drawing so much lately. This weekend is going to be a hard one. No Disney-esque blue birds flying merrily and singing happily, rather.... tons of very four letter words bouncing EVERYWHERE. Oh well. I'll get some sleep between now and then and THEN we'll see what happens.... eh? In the interim. The new video. Some very, very beautiful bits.... most especially in the stairwell. We shot that on Thanksgiving Morning. In a stairwell in a parking garage. Figured we'd have it to ourselves right then. It's amazing that NOBODY was out there on a major holiday ... just us crazy people. NEXT

    I am drawing. Slowly.

FACEBOOK (Mar. 21, 2015): MANY THINGS... I am drawing. Slowly. Mostly Saturday. MORE on the way. Coming...soon? LOL. Life keeps trying SO HARD to get in the way. This fight NEVER ends. Constant. But then again... who wants to sit on laurels and say they've reached the finish? Boring. PLUS. That's EXACTLY when you start taking things for granted. Eh? AND... some things are TOO IMPORTANT to EVER EVER EVER be taken for granted. A-n-y-w-a-a-a-a-a-a-ay. . . . The photo posted on the banner: part of the "Under A Dream" video I created for Gary Eisenbraun's instrumental music video. This pict is NOT photoshopped. This is HOW it became in the video. This is just a Still exported from the video. There is something SO Dali in it... that I ALMOST entered it into the recent juried exhibition (alongside the pencil drawing AND abstract pen and ink drawing). Wouldn't that have been appropriate? You could enter THREE completed artworks for the last year (only). Mine was a surreal pencil drawing and a pen and ink abstract....I ALMOST added the video still. Ha. Ha. Ha. Keep your fingers crossed: I've entered a juried competition. Wow. And go figure. It's ON baby (at least for THIS moment). L-O-L. NEXT

It's here and (slowly) getting there.

FACEBOOK (Apr. 16, 2015): EXCLUSIVE. I am sooooo behind that this work of art isn't even posted on the website yet. Shocking. Right? Yeah right. Ha. The left-hand side of the drawing (where the people are) looks pretty dark. It isn't. I just darkened the image up so you could SEE where the drawing IS right now. Well...it's HERE and (slowly) getting there. Somewhere. Tangible. Coming soon. Eventually. NEXT
